IN CONVERSATION|AIDAN TOURANI
Name|Aidan Tourani
Age|20
Hometown|Pasadena, Los Angeles, California
How did you get discovered?
I have always been a competitive soccer player, so when I saw my soccer career coming to an end, I switched over my competitive energy into modeling.
What were you doing prior to modeling?
I was spotted by a New York model agent at Coachella, but didn't venture to the Big Apple yet. I was 17 years old and got a push from my mother to go in and see the awesome people at LA Models.
People would be surprised to know that I...
Something most people wouldn't be able to tell from the looks of me is that I speak French fluently, great chef and I enjoy freestyle rapping!
What's your latest obsession?
Surfing. My friend and I are currently planning a trip to Costa Rica.
Your most prize possession?
My Volvo V70 wagon was the first car I learned to drive in. At age 10, my mom put me on her lap and would let me drive around the local parking lot!
Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero?
Bob Marley—My parents would always play his music and I really enjoy watching his interviews because he is down to earth and cares more about living than material possessions. We share the same birthdays!
When is the last time you said, "I Love You" to someone?
My mom. She's always been my number 1 supporter!
Three adjectives that best describes you:
Positive, Intuitive and Strong
Describe your personal style:
I wear edgy/street/skater clothes. Lately my favorite store is Adidas Originals. My look ranges from preppy to high fashion.
Your favorite place you have travel to:
Bahamas, when I was there, I adventured a lot and even made friends with some locals!
Your favorite film and scene from the film:
A Place Beyond The Pines—Scene: The opening scene where Ryan Gosling's character is walking through the amusement park and hops on his dirt bike where him and two other guys are spinning inside a big hampster cage.
Your favorite sport:
Sport: Surfing
Surfer: Jordy Smith—I have met him and he is very nice guy who I look up to very much. His surfing style is out of this world!
If there's a destination or item you would recommend us to check out or visit about your native country/city or town, what would you recommend?
Los Angeles, California—Malibu would be my go to. I love taking people to the beach, showing them a good time and maybe even teaching them to surf.
If you were given a indie cable show, what type of show would it be? Which song would you choose as your theme song?
A show that cross between JACKASS and Who Is Job. I enjoy cliff jumping, skateboarding and motor biking also so it would be a crazy reckless outdoorsy show. Theme song: Elephant by Tame Impala
Craziest thing you ever done:
About two years ago at Coachella, my friend and I went to a day party where we jumped off a place that is three stories high onto a tarp. For some reason, I thought it would be cool to double backflip off, the results were two sprained ankles...Later that day, we successfully snuck into Coachella, it was not easy at all. I sprinted from the checkout point and got chased by a huge security guards, but I managed to loose them!
Your wish for the remainder of 2015?
To have my own husky puppy or golden lab!
