IN CONVERSATION|ANDREW MUNS

Name|Andrew Muns
Age|21
Hometown|Dallas, Texas

How did you get discovered?
I was scouted by my mother agent and photographer Tazaca while walking near Times Square.
What were you doing prior to modeling?
I was working in a wine shop in Midtown learning about fine wines and bourbons.
People would be surprised to know that I...
am a fashion stylist. I worked with friends who are photographers scouting girls from different agencies.
What's your latest obsession?
Films, I have been obsessed with director Paul Thomas Anderson and watching all of his films. Boogie Nights is my favorite!
Your most prize possession?
My mom gave me a set of Louis XVI antique chairs when I was a small child. They are child size ornate chairs that have a lot of sentimental value to me.
Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero?
I was a skateboarder growing up so I always looked up to professional skaters. They inspired me very much. My favorite is Chris Cole.
When is the last time you said, "I Love You" to someone?
My mom, I loved her dearly!
Three adjectives that best describes you:
Tall, Shy, Silly
Describe your personal style:
Minimalistic: I liked designers like Acne Studios and Jil Sander. I always like to wear a nice pair of fitted jeans and a well tailored shirt. I love sneakers by Common Projects.
Your favorite place you have travel to:
I love Paris. The Louvre seems like a predictable answer but it really is amazing!
Your favorite film and scene from the film:
The Big Lebowski—Scene: When Jeff Bridges' character and John Goodman's character are scattering Steve Buscemi's character ashes and the wind blow them in the Jeff's face.
Your five favorite designers and notes on them:
1. Acne Studios—Great quality and fit.
2. Tom Ford—Best shoes and sunglasses
3. Saint Laurent (Heidi Slimane's era)—He is a genius, so sad he left the house!
4. Raf Simons—Cool and minimalistic
5. Common Projects—My favorite sneakers
If there's a destination or item you would recommend us to check out or visit about your native country/city or town, what would you recommend?
Dallas, Texas—I would take you to Turtle Creek in Highland Park. I used to go there a lot as a kid. It has beautiful large trees and is the best place to relax.
If you were given a indie cable show, what type of show would it be? Which song would you choose as your theme song?
I would like to do a talk show where I interview artists, photographers, designers, film makers and other people in the creative industries. My theme song would be an original song by the live studio band. They could change it from week to week.
Craziest thing you ever done:
I went mountain climbing with my dad in Colorado at a place that was far above my skill level. We were able to climb up relatively eay but when coming back down it felt like we were always inches from death!
Your wish for the remainder of 2016?
Book a Tom Ford campaign!
