How did you get discovered?
I was discovered in a thrift shop in Halifax. I was buying some rainbow parachute pants. I remember the tag said, "If you've got the balls.", and I was like, fuck yeah!
I was buying them and the cashier gave me a list of agencies she thought would like me. I went home and had a little shoot with a friend of mine and send them off and I got responses. A month later, I was in Paris doing my first runway show!

What were you doing prior to modeling?
Before modeling, I was taking photography and working up to fashion design in NSCAD University in Halifax, a little city pretty close to home.
People would be surprised to know that I...
buried a secret treasure and only I know where it is. Hint: Three lunges west of the most easterly spruce
What's your latest obsession?
Apricots—I've never picked a fruit off a tree before. There was a garden at the place I was staying in Milan, I came home from a night out and I climbed on the tree and ate all the apricots on the tree. They were fucking delicious!
Your most prize possession?
My animal claw earrings (See pics) I found them in a thrift store and I wear them every day!
Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero?
I think my role models have changed quite a bit. Now that I am in the fashion industry and meeting everyone. My hero is definitely is Rei Kawakubo, designer of Comme des Garçons. I have a lot of respect for her and her work. She always has a story for her shows that I can get into and I always respected how she does her work for the sake of art. She is super private and doesn't exploit herself or her clothing. She just wants to tell her story with her clothing and she succeeds beautifully with every collection!

When is the last time you said, "I Love You" to someone?
My friend, photographer Santa, because we are in love!
Three adjectives that best describes you:
Colorful, Food hungry and kinda like a snail
Describe your personal style:
Late 80's, early 90's...pop goth from space
Your favorite place you have travel to:
A tiny island in Greece called Hydra or home at St. John's
Your favorite film and scene from the film:
My Neighbor Totoro—Scene: Tototro meets Noriko at the bus stop or the crazy dust bunnies!
Your favorite colors:
Pastel pink and purple!
If there's a destination or item you would recommend us to check out or visit about your native country/city or town, what would you recommend?
St. John's, New Foundland, Canada—A tiny little nook I found in Quidi Vidi. It's between two cliffs and then there's just ocean, all the way to Europe. You can climb down the cliff and be right on the waves, in a little grove with rocks, pools, puffins, shells and things. Nobody can see you, it's the most peaceful place in the world, I'm sure of it!
If there was a cable tv show in your name, which song will be your main theme for the show?
Oh by Ciara
My favorite model moment:
Not really a specific moment, but when I slowly started meeting people in the industry on a more personal level and make connections. I realized that I can have a career in fashion, as a model, a stylist, a designer or whatever I want to put my work into...I am very grateful!
Your wish for 2013?
